It's a very healthy and beautiful dog as you can see from the pictures. Right now, I left it in the care of a vet in Teinmu. There is no chip so anyone responsible can adopt it. I will also put poster up in the area where I found him starving.

I already paid for all the medical costs and the hospital stay for a week. If you are going to adopt, you must be serious and take responsibility of the animal!!! This dog is not a toy, he can be your family. Treat him with respect and love and he will do the same!

As for worries about the original ownership of the dog, please read the following:
1. I already took the dog to scan for e-chip, and there was none, so there is no registered owner.
2. The dog has scratches on the nose, some parasites on its feet, and infection in the ear, which the vet already took care of. These factors show that he has been abandoned or lost for awhile.
3. I actually spotted the dog in two different places. He didn't really stay in one location since he was following his nose. Additionally, He was trying to eat trash, which is why I stopped to help him. These factors also show that he has been lost or abandoned for some time.
4. I actually went around the first place where I found him as well as the second place. We also took him to another place where there was a beagle but no one in the neighborhood recognized this particular dog nor were there any lost dog posters in the vicinity.
5. I will make posters as previously stated and post them around the area where I found him.
6. The reason he looks so clean in the photos is that I asked the vet to give him a trim and bath. He was quite dirty before and had been out on the road for awhile.
7. The dog is stuck in a cage at the vet so I want to get him out of there as soon as possible. It's not healthy for a beagle to stay locked up in a cage.
8. Practical issues. I already spent about 4000 NTD getting the dog the necessary shots, medicine fees, food and shelter. I also spent the last few days taking care of him, trying to find his owner, and trying to get people to take care of him. Since I have a very tight work schedule, I do not think I can keep this up for long. Otherwise, I would just adopt him myself...but I know he needs an active owner, someone who is not always away from home.
